This full bathroom shows how one bold choice can carry a small room. A navy botanical-print wallpaper covers the accent wall, and the rest stays simple: white rectangular tile around the tub, a white alcove tub, and a wood-look plank floor.

The vanity is a deep green cabinet with a marble-look top and warm metal pulls and faucet. At the tub, a black-framed sliding glass door takes the place of a shower curtain, and black corner shelves inside the tiled surround hold bottles. The valve, tub spout, and slide-bar handheld are in a warm brushed finish that ties back to the vanity hardware, and a black towel shelf over the toilet picks up the black of the door frame.

Keeping a tub while updating everything around it is a common choice for hall and guest baths. A glass door and a tiled surround are easier to keep clean than a curtain and an insert, and a vented exhaust fan, visible in the ceiling here, matters in any bathroom, even more so with wallpaper on the walls.
